CHAMACOS is a Community-University partnership that includes members of the
Salinas Valley community and academic, state, and federal science agencies.
The research is conducted in partnership with several organizations in the Salinas
Valley, including the South County Outreach Effort (SCORE), Clínica de Salud del
Valle Salinas, Natividad Medical Center, and the Monterey County Health Department.
California Rural Legal Assistance (CRLA) and the Grower Shipper Association are also
participating in the intervention study, which recently received additional funding
from NIEHS.
