Dr. Nina Holland
I am interested in understanding lifestyle determinants and biomarkers of obesity. My research also focuses on the relationship between environmental chemical exposure and epigenetic markers, specifically DNA methylation, in newborns.
WHY I CHOSE THE BERKELEY EHS PROGRAM
I chose UC Berkeley because of the University’s reputation as one of the most esteemed public institutions, the proximity of UCB to other leading schools and the tech industry, and the world-renowned faculty. I selected the EHS program in order to address health concerns related to environmental exposures.
I enjoy exploring the many hikes in the Bay Area, playing trivia, reading, and participating in intramural sports.
