Philip collender

Phil Collender is a Research Assistant with the Remais Group. His work is focused on incorporating environmental data and modeling techniques into epidemiological frameworks, particularly efforts to model the effects of rainfall and hydrology on disease transmission. Additional areas of focus include Bayesian and nonlinear meta analytical models for estimating pathogen persistence in the environment as well as modeling pathogen fate and transport associated with flood events. Philip has an MPH in environmental health from Emory, with a focus on helminths and sanitation in developing settings, and a BS in biology from the University of Virginia.
