Center for the Health Assessment of Mothers and Children of Salinas (CHAMACOS) is directed by Dr. Brenda Eskenazi and is a community-university partnership is based in the Salinas Valley, California. They are investigating the relationship of the environment to children's health and developing interventions that reduce the incidence of environmentally related childhood disease. Current studies focus on pesticide and allergen exposures to pregnant women and children.
