Dr. Robert C. Spear has established a long-term international collaboration on Schistosomiasis in China involving EHS and College of Natural Resources faculty, and the Sichuan Institute of Parasitic Disease in Chengdu, China. The research focuses on understanding, monitoring and controlling the transmission of the intestinal parasite Schistosoma japonicum in rural communities in China.
