Student backgrounds in EHS

EHS students come from a wide variety of disciplines, but they share an interest in the quantitative evaluation of environmental risks and the means of protecting populations from environmental hazards, from air pollution to climate change, from chemical exposures in the workplace to pathogens in drinking water in developing countries.

Environmental health is a truly interdisciplinary field, drawing on virtually all the natural sciences, as well from the social sciences, engineering, statistics and policy.
